I found a pianist who wanted to play the Zemlinsky trio for clarinet, cello, and piano for the chamber music exam in June. Unfortunately I didn’t find a cellist. Hard to play a trio with only two people. Then I got a call from a cellist who told me she had half a string quartet left from a group that was cancelled, and she thought we might play a sextet instead. So finally I will play with a group that’s twice as big, the sextet for clarinet, string quartet, and piano by the Chilean composer Juan Antonion Orrego Salas. Sounds fun!
